Git and version-controlled documentation
MILOUD NECILI
PROJECT / Git CLI
Fraîche Flow · IT Systems Integration
Project objective
Organise changes to documentation and administration artefacts transparently and demonstrate a safe Git workflow.
My implementation
- Completed Git CLI exercises within the course and used repository work as the basis for project documentation.
- Treated the working directory, staging area and commit as distinct working states.
- Worked on branches, merging, conflict resolution and reverting within the assigned tasks.
- Stored configurations and scripts in an organised structure without sensitive data.
Technical context
| Artefacts | README, operational notes, sample configurations, scripts |
|---|---|
| Workflow | Review changes → stage → commit → synchronise |
| Evidence type | Completion confirmed by the project lead |
Result
According to the project lead, this area of work is complete.
Verification and operational evidence
git status
git log --oneline --graph --all
git branch --all
git diff

Practical troubleshooting
Changes to the same file require substantive conflict resolution; a successful merge alone does not replace content review.
Security and technical context
Do not version .env files, tokens, private keys or production credentials. Replace secrets that have already been published; deleting them from the current file does not remove them from history.
Transferable skills
Version control, traceable changes and collaborative technical documentation.
Project status
Completed according to confirmation from the project lead.
